Purpose:
The SQ-420 portable photon analyzer inherits the consistent measurement accuracy and easy-to-use quality of Apogee series products, and innovatively adopts a USB interface, which integrates power supply and data transmission, with built-in storage function, and can work independently without the need for other recorders or data collectors. The SQ-420 portable photon meter can be used to measure the photon flux density (PPFD) of photosynthetically active radiation in outdoor natural environments, as well as around greenhouses, growth chambers, and underwater plants.
The SQ-420 portable photon meter also has a built-in data storage chip, which can automatically record 10000 measurement data without the need for other recorders or computers, making it convenient for your use. The sensor cable comes standard with a USB 2.0 interface, making it easy to connect to various types of computers. Real time display and PPFD data visualization of measurement data can be easily achieved through the equipped Apogee software. It also innovatively adopts a 5V DC USB power supply method, making its working mode exceptionally diverse. You can not only directly plug it into the USB interface of the computer, but also use 220V AC power directly through a regular USB power adapter. You can even use the commonly used mobile power bank (power bank) for mobile devices to provide working power. The SQ-420 portable photon meter adopts two calibration methods: sunlight and light, and its calibration coefficient is stored in the firmware of the sensor. You can easily select its calibration mode through Apogee software to improve measurement accuracy. To minimize azimuth errors, we recommend that you point the probe cable towards due north when installing the probe (please point towards due south when used in the southern hemisphere).
